Brain Stimulation Training Courses

6 Aug 2009

Following the success of past Brain Stimulation Training Courses, Magstim is pleased to announce new set of dates:

·         Friday 9th October to Tuesday 13th October 2009

·         Friday 13th November to Tuesday 17th November 2009

·         Monday 14th December to Friday 18th December 2009

The Brain Stimulation Training Course is designed to be a practical, hands-on course in magnetic and electrical stimulation of the human brain, and is run over five themed days.  It provides new and existing users of TMS with many of the techniques required to design, execute and analyse TMS/tDCS experiments.

The non-residential course includes a number of introductory lectures on  aspects of TMS and tDCS as well as other methods of neuro-imaging and navigation. Lectures will be complemented with a minimum of 20 hours practical experience. These practical sessions will consist of a maximum of five groups of two people working with a TMS / tDCS / Navigation set up.

The course will be strictly limited to 12 participants, to ensure participants have adequate  time to work effectively in pairs and have sufficient access to equipment and experts throughout each practical session.   Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so potential attendees are urged to register quickly to avoid disappointment.

The fee for the course is £1,100 per person, and will be hosted by the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience in central London on each occasion.

If you would like more information about the course or would like to register, please e-mail:  nick.lewis@magstim.com.   The full programme can be found on http://www.magstim.com/support/trainingcourses.html
