Brain Stimulation Training Courses
As a result of requests made during the Magstim TMS Summer Schools held over the last three years, Magstim periodically host a series of Brain Stimulation Training Courses.
The Brain Stimulation Training Course has been designed to be a practical, hands-on course in magnetic and electrical stimulation of the human brain. The course is intended to provide new and existing users of TMS with experience of and exposure to the techniques required to design, execute and analyse TMS/tDCS experiments. There will be substantial opportunity to gain experience of the equipment used to administer TMS during the course to complement the theoretical knowledge provided
Run over five full days, each course will include a number of introductory lectures on aspects of TMS and tDCS. The lectures will be complemented with a minimum of 20 hours practical experience. These practical sessions will consist of up to five groups of two people working with a TMS set up (no standing around watching yet more demonstrations of motor cortex stimulation and phosphenes).
The courses are strictly limited to 12 places, to ensure participants have adequate time to work effectively in pairs and have sufficient access to equipment throughout each practical session.
Course Programme
Day 1:

Registration and Fees.
The fee for the non-residential course is £1,100.
Dates of new courses are regularly advertised in the news section of www.magstim.com. If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please e-mail nick.lewis@magstim.com.
Forthcoming course dates
- No more dates are currently scheduled for 2009. The courses will resume in 2010.
Each course is strictly limited to 12 participants. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so potential attendees are urged to register quickly to avoid disappointment.
The fee for the non-residential course is £1,100 per person, and will be hosted by the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience in central London.
If you would like to register for any of the above dates , please e-mail: nick.lewis@magstim.com.
